NDCS is working hard to establish additional safety protocols to ensure the safety our clients during this time. These are some strategies that will be effective immediately in an effort to mitigate risk and respond effectively to the COVID-19 Virus.
• Clinicians will try and end sessions five minutes earlier than typical (“15 till”), as to decrease cross contact between clients and allow for clinicians to consistently be ready at the top of the hour to get their next client.
• Clients are encouraged to come on time…not early, perhaps (“five till”) so we will virtually eliminate the need for the waiting area.
• We ask clients to bring as few family members with them, as possible, to their appointment.
• Clients can wait in their car for their scheduled appointments and let front office staff know that they are present, but waiting in the car, and staff will call to tell them to come in. Clients can then come directly into their clinician’s office once given the go ahead.
• We will work to avoid sharing items like pens, clipboards, or others tools with each other or with clients without these items then being cleaned.
