Please remember that when you schedule an appointment, the reservation of that time is specifically held for you. If you must cancel an appointment for any reason, please provide 24 hours-notice. No shows for scheduled appointments or late cancellations affect everyone and make it difficult for our clients to be seen in a timely manner. Appointments cancelled without at least a 24 hours-notice may be charged a Missed Appointment/Late Cancellation Fee.
Payment in full is expected at the time of service. We accept cash, checks, Visa and MasterCard. A self-pay option is also available. Upon check-in co-pays and payment for services not covered by insurance or Medicaid is due.
Prior to the first session with your therapist, we will contact the insurance company to verify eligibility and benefits. We encourage you to also contact your insurance company for benefits so you will have a clear understanding of what your insurance will or will not cover. Regardless of the information the insurance company shares with us concerning the benefits, it will ultimately be your financial responsibility to pay for any services not covered by the plan.
As a courtesy to our clients, we will file your insurance claims for payment. If there is any remaining balance due to New Directions Counseling, an invoice will be mailed to the appropriate financially responsible party.
The confidentiality of your identity, diagnosis and records will be strictly upheld. Your confidentiality is protected by state law. The policies handout that you will read and sign prior to our first session outlines the possible exceptions to confidentiality.
